Small Double Wall Cardboard Boxes Product Details

Our small double wall cardboard boxes are a functional packing solution that will help you secure small-scale items without having to use large amounts of protective or void fill.

The double-fluted corrugated cardboard is both durable and versatile, and protects the encased products against drops, shakes, and – most importantly – side impacts while moving on conveyor belts.

Recommended for

  • Smaller products such as cosmetics, jewellery and small devices that need extra protection. The 5-mm walls provide a robust layer of security and are ideal to contain shipments up to 15 kg (or stacked shipments up to 10 kg). But this recommendation may vary depending on the nature of the product and the void fill or protective material used. It also may vary depending on the shipping method used.

Specifications

  • Box thickness of 5 mm with a brown cardboard recycled paper quality up to 100gsm

  • All dimensions shown are internal dimensions

  • 100% recyclable corrugated board made from recycled fibers

  • Those products are not designed to be used for heavy duty products unless stated otherwise, not to be used under high humidity or high temperatures conditions

  • All dimensions may vary by up to 3mm

Key Features

  • Suitable for delicate products and heavy items

Small double wall cardboard boxes can support a weight of up to 15 kg or up to 10 kg for stacked shipments, making them particularly sturdy and reliable. Each box is made up of five layers – an outer layer of paper + a layer of flute + a layer of paper + another layer of flute + an outer layer of paper.

The five layers of alternating paper and flute make it sturdy and reliable, so it can easily withstand the adversities of a return shipment and protect the items against bumps and shakes that can cause damage. It is also ideal for stacking on a warehouse shelf or on a fully loaded pallet since it can easily withstand the weight of boxes on top.

  • Sustainable packing solution

DS Smith is a leading supplier of sustainable packaging solutions. Our boxes are 100% recycled and can be fully recycled in just 2 weeks. Your customers can rest assured that shipments will entail the lowest environmental footprint possible. We handle over 5 million tonnes every year – that is the weight of 25,000 jumbo jets!

  • Use them again and again

Our small double wall carboard boxes can be reused multiple times, saving you procurement costs, and avoiding waste. The cardboard boxes withstand the rigors of shipment, and you can use them in several shipping and storage cycles to avoid spending time on a myriad of orders.

How to measure a box?

When measuring a cardboard box, it is important to consider three key dimensions: length, width and height. These measurements provide the internal dimensions of the carton, allowing you to define the space available to pack products and ensure they fit properly.

The dimensions provided on our website are in Millimetres and are following the order LENGTH x WIDTH X HEIGHT.

To measure correctly a cardboard box follow these instructions:

1. Length: start by measuring the longest side of the box base

2. Width: rotate the box 90 degres and measured the other side of the box base

3. Height:measure the distance from the base to the top

Our Circular Design Metrics measure Supply Chain Optimisation, Recyclability, Planet Safety, Material Utilisation, Renewable Sources, Recycled Content, the Carbon Footprint and Design for Reuse.

* This circularity information was made by using the information of an average double wall box.
